Counter argument

There is a queer culture that exists as men who have sexual relations with men are automatically placed into a sub cultural group. Within the cultural group there are guidelines of which homosexual men follow. Some guidelines are created upon the perception of what is stereotypical of the word gay, the persona, not necessarily defined by queer culture itself, rather media and literature. Character traits and guidelines within the sub cultural group that are easily predictable, created, are ones that tend to, define gay clichés.
Gay clichés emulate personas based upon how society constructs the word gay such as effeminate gender roles, and the appeal to character traits. Such clichés exist within queer culture however that does not define queer culture. Rather Queer culture exists as sexual relations with men exist, and by the definition of queer are different from the usual. Such facts refer to the idea that heterosexual men are different and as such are placed into the queer culture, not due to the fact that certain men take cultural values to the extreme.
Therefore the word gay refers to the persona that some homosexual men within the queer culture adapt themselves too:  Such a persona may emulate a gay cliché however does not negate the fact that there is a culture where gay men exist that was not created, rather existed.
